How to get more hits on your SoundCloud.com tracks? Try out the following methods that i use!
1.) Create and account on facebook, twitter or any social networking sites.
2.) Add your friends! friends are very important on starting your career as an "Independent Artist" Why? well you probably know that the first persons or listeners that will listen to your tracks are your friends right? If you ask them or if they liked your song there is a high possibility that they would "Share" your song. (i know some friends are just too ignorant on what's going on.)
3.) Social networking sites has some of this features other the "SHARE", on facebook, once you put a comment or like something your friends (depending on your facebook account settings) it will be seen on your friends' NewsFeeds which is very cool!
4.) Make a blog about what you have written, some random listener might like it and share it too!
5.) On SoundCloud join some groups and share your newly posted tracks or something.

Are you a passionate artist that is somewhat demanding attention for your songs to be heard?
SoundCloud.com is the answer to your problem, it's free and could really give you audience to actually listen to your songs, some people would re-post it to their sound cloud wall so that other followers or that artist will be able to see/hear your song!
It's a good start, but i hate to break it to you! Everything is not easy so you'll have to at least give some time and effort to make your song be heard here are some few tips.
1.) Make your songs non-downloadable, this will bring your listeners to listen to your song often on soundcloud allowing your stats to increase will make your song more attractive to others. After gaining attention with that song it's up to you to make it downloadable or not.
2.) Post it often on facebook, one thing that i really like about facebook is, if the listener's soundcloud account is connected to his/her facebook the activity feeds will automatically show up on his/her wall allowing friends to see it.
3.) You can also use twitter to get more audience and it's famous Twitmusic feature (third-party website) same with facebook, when you use it others can tweet your music to their followers.
